He was called to the English Bar in 1987 and subsequently worked in corporate finance for Bankers Trust Company and Chemical Bank in London and New York. He joined Mourant in 1990, became a Jersey solicitor in 1993 and a Mourant partner in 1996. He was admitted as a Cayman Islands attorney in 2007.  His recent investment funds work includes the Jersey domiciled Lyxor hedge fund platform. Edward has made various contributions to trust publications including writing the Jersey chapter of Asset Protection: Domestic and International Law and Tactics. In 2004 and 2005 he assisted with changes to the Trusts (Jersey) Law 1984 as a member of the Trust Law Working Group and more recently has been on the working party piloting the introduction of the Unregulated Funds regime into Jersey.
