Aircraft Lease Securitisation Limited (ALS) - September 2005

Alastair Syvret advised ALS, a Jersey limited liability company, in relation to a major aircraft securitisation involving the issue of US$1,000,000,000 of floating rate asset backed notes (the "Notes"). The Notes were purchased by external investors and by debis AirFinance Ireland Limited (now AerCap Ireland Limited). The proceeds from the issuance of the Notes were used to acquire from AerCap Ireland Limited a portfolio of 42 aircraft and the related leases.

Other parties included: Lehman Brothers (as Placement Agent), Deutsche Bank Trust Company Americas (as Cash Manager, Indenture Trustee and Security Trustee), AerCap Ireland Limited and other members of the AerCap group (as Servicer and Administrative Agent), Calyon (as Liquidity Facility Provider) and MBIA Insurance Corporation (as provider of a financial guarantee insurance policy in respect of the senior notes).
