Employment history:                                    
Ewan qualified as a solicitor in Scotland in 1999 and has since practised as a litigation solicitor in Scotland before moving to Guernsey in 2005. Previous to joining Mourant du Feu & Jeune in 2007, Ewan carried out public sector legal roles, most recently working within the States of Guernsey's Department of Finance Sector Development. Ewan's specialist areas include corporate restructuring and company law.

Professional qualifications:
Ewan was admitted as a solicitor in Scotland and England & Wales (currently non-practising), and as a Notary Public in Scotland.

Ewan is a member of the Law Society of Scotland, the Law Society and the Guernsey International Legal Association.

Highlight deals:
Ewan worked with the Mourant du Feu & Jeune Guernsey team on Project Blade, who  advised The Royal Bank of Scotland plc in relation to a very significant property finance and banking transaction: a £907 million facility to the Propinvest Group (involving due diligence on 28 Guernsey entities). Ewan also worked on Project Puffin, the acquisition by The Liberation Group of the drinks distribution and pub estate business of Sandpiper - the Channel Island's largest hospitality estate.
