Ian is one of Jersey’s best-known names in the fields of structured finance and securitisation and is Mourant’s Chairman. Chambers Global directory described him as a ’legend in his field’. He became a Jersey solicitor in 1986 and was subsequently made a Mourant partner.

As a member of Mourant du Feu & Jeune’s Capital Markets and Corporate & Banking teams, he has advised on many of the most significant commercial transactions to have been structured in Jersey in recent years, with a particular emphasis on corporate and structured finance matters.
