Jonathan Speck and Bruce Lincoln led the team in the trial of a multi-million pound claim against a Canadian oil company and its subsidiaries for damages and an account of profits in relation to a project for the development of an Iranian oil field. The case involved claims in conspiracy, deceit, abuse of confidence, malicious falsehood, breach of contract and unlawful interference, and issues of petroleum industry practice, accountancy practice and Iranian law. The Jersey team worked with UK solicitors and leading English counsel as well as accountancy, industry and Iranian law experts.
