Craig is a South African lawyer admitted as an attorney and notary in 1996. He was a partner with Loon & Connellan of Port Elizabeth before joining another large law firm in Jersey in 2002 where he practised in the trust and private client department. He also has experience in contentious matters involving trusts and professional trustees, covering asset tracing, beneficiary and trustee disputes, insolvency and restructuring. Craig qualified as an English Solicitor in 2005 and joined Mourant in March 2007. He has had practical industry experience having been a director of a local trust company. Craig practices in all areas of non-contentious trust law and transactional work involving trusts. He is a keen surfer and long distance swimmer, a member of the exclusive Jersey Polar Bears (an extreme swimming club) and together with five other Mourant lawyers completed the challenging round Jersey swim relay.
