Hector holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, Barbados and completed his legal professional training at the Norman Manley Law School in Kingston, Jamaica. He was admitted as an Attorney in Jamaica in 1990. Hector joined Quin & Hampson in March, 2000 and was made partner in 2005. Prior to joining Quin & Hampson, he was a partner in the firm of Patterson, Phillipson & Graham in Kingston, Jamaica. Hector has extensive experience as an advocate in civil and commercial matters having appeared in a wide range of cases both at first instance and at the appellate level. His main practice areas include commercial disputes involving inter-related foreign proceedings, telecommunications law, property, cross border asset recovery, insurance, banking, company law and judicial review. Hector is a member of the Jamaican Bar Association and the Cayman Islands Law Society.
Following a merger, as of 1 October 2007, Quin & Hampson is known as Mourant.
