Mourant awarded Fund Administrator of the Year as total funds under administration hit the US$150 Billion mark

Mourant, the multi-disciplinary, international specialist services group, was named ’Fund Administrator of the Year’ at the Private Equity News, European Private Equity Awards in London this month.

The award was presented by Howard Marks, Chairman of private equity firm, Oaktree Capital and accepted by Matt Wood on behalf of all the funds teams across Mourant’s International Finance Administration division. 

The aim of the European Private Equity Awards is to recognise and highlight excellence and specific achievement throughout many sectors of European Private Equity, encouraging providers to raise standards, improve efficiency and increase innovation in what the y do.

Commenting on winning the award, Ian Lambert, CEO of the International Finance Administration division, said, "This award clearly highlights the quality and dedication of all our fund administration teams across our division and the award goes to the m. It is enormously satisfying to see our efforts rewarded in this way and particularly pleasing at a time when our teams are very busy handling the strong growth in our business across Europe, North America and now into Asia. As an indication of how much we have grown, the latest figures for total fund commitments under our administration stands at over US$150 billion, up from US$100 billion this time last year. This is an outstanding performance and I thank all our employees for the ir contribution."

The award comes shortly after Mourant expanded its funds business into Asia, opening offices in both Hong Kong and Singapore .
