Mourant du Feu & Jeune maintains number one funds ranking

Mourant du Feu & Jeune is the number one legal adviser to funds in Jersey for the eighth consecutive year, according to the Jersey Funds Encyclopaedia, an industry ’bible’ published by Lipper Fitzrovia.

The total number of funds under legal advice by Mourant du Feu & Jeune to June 2007 stands at 873, which is up by 28.5% on the previous year. The law firm’s position as the market leader in a growing market is reflected in its 43% total market share of assets.

One of the reasons for Mourant du Feu & Jeune’s incredible success is Jersey’s growing fund servicing industry, which has risen to US$225.9 billion (£112.5 billion) including 1,367 funds and subfunds, according to the Jersey Funds Encyclopaedia. This represents an increase of nearly 150 percent over five years – up from US$91.0 billion (£59.7 billion) in June 2002.
