George Keightley read law at Durham University, before being called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1997. Between 1997 and 2006 he practised as a barrister in the United Kingdom.

George’s practice includes extensive commercial fraud and money laundering experience, seizure, restraint, confiscation and forfeiture proceedings together with administrative and regulatory matters. During the course of private practise George acted for a number of Governmental bodies in the UK before taking up a position as Crown Counsel to the Attorney General of the Cayman Islands in 2006. Since his move to Cayman, George continues to be involved in significant litigation including asset tracing and recovery together with international public and private law disputes.

George retuned to private practice in August 2007 when he joined Mourant du Feu & Jeune. He was called to the Cayman Island Bar on 27 September 2007.
