Appointments Strengthen Mourant’s Wealth Management and Investment Services
Barry Hardisty has been appointed as Head of Investment Services and Grace Pickering as Investment Services Officer at Mourant Private Wealth, as the wealth management division of specialist international services firm Mourant looks to galvanise its investment capabilities.
Mr Hardisty, who has been at Mourant since 2005, and Mrs Pickering, who joined the firm in 2003, will lead the firm’s Investment Services department, which provides technical consultancy and expertise on a broad range of investment related issues.
Heading up the team, Mr Hardisty will drive the expansion of the business’ investment consultancy and manager selection services and will have specific responsibility for the firm’s Portfolio and Investment Management Evaluation service (PRIME), a tool that evaluates and seeks to optimise the performance of investment portfolios.
With a wealth of experience in reviewing and implementing investment strategies, Mr Hardisty also has an in-depth knowledge of the best investment products in the marketplace. Prior to arriving at Mourant, Mr Hardisty was a stockbroker for nine years with Insinger de Beaufort International, specialising in providing advice in global equity markets and asset allocation to both private clients and institutional investors.
Educated in the UK, Mr Hardisty holds the Investment Management Certificate and is a member of the Securities & Investment Institute and the UK Society of Investment Professionals.
Also newly appointed is Grace Pickering, who will assist Mr Hardisty in producing investment reviews and liaising with investment managers. With over 15 years’ experience in the industry, she has extensive knowledge in private wealth management services for Ultra High Net Worth individuals. She has previously worked at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, Mercury Asset Management, JP Morgan Chase and the Royal Bank of Canada.
A member of the Securities & Investment Institute, Miss Pickering holds the Institute’s Certificate in Investment Management as well as the Investment Administration Qualification. She is currently studying towards the ACCA professional qualification.
