He obtained the Higher Rights of Audience (Civil) qualification in 2002. Peter joined Mourant and was admitted as an attorney in Cayman in March 2008. Prior to joining Mourant, he was a partner at Matthew Arnold & Baldwin and before that he worked at Allen & Overy for eight years, where he was a leading member of the team that won the Legal Business Litigation Team of the Year award for successfully defending a US$ 200 million derivatives claim in AIG v First National Bank. He also acted for the banks in the administration of TXU. Peter has extensive experience of financial services litigation and insolvency matters. He has worked in-house at UBS and Barclays.
