Alan is highly respected both within and outside the legal profession, Alan is the president of the Jersey Law Society and one of Jersey’s Law Commissioners. A Mourant partner, he was admitted to the English Bar in 1981 and was sworn in as a Jersey advocate in 1984. As well as being a member of the editorial board of the Jersey Law Review and of the International Bar Association, he is the Belgian Consul in Jersey. Alan is a frequent conference speaker and article writer on specialist subjects including commercial and banking litigation, asset tracing and fraud investigation, regulatory matters, trust litigation and anti-money laundering. He also advises on structures for private wealth. Alan is listed in the 2006 "Who’s Who Legal" directory of commercial litigation lawyers.
