South Square & Mourant Litigation Forum

We were pleased to present our annual litigation forum on Thursday 16 September.

Paul Donovan, Chief Economist at UBS Global Wealth Management, gave our keynote address at this year's event.

Paul's keynote address 'Surviving a Revolution', explored how the pandemic has been a force for disruption but did not create an economic recession in any conventional sense. This is, perhaps, the most dramatic period of structural change since the first industrial revolution, a quarter of a millennium ago. Interestingly the process is likely to reverse may of the changes of the first industrial revolution. Managing these changes effectively is the economic challenge for our age.

The forum was co-chaired by Mark Arnold QC and Simon Dickson.

Our speakers covered three key topics in the forum;

- Can a Trust be Insolvent?
- The New Restructuring Plan – Some Thoughts From the Front Line
- Brexit: Full of Sound and Fury?
