Carl qualified as an attorney in South Africa in 1986 before emigrating to New Zealand where he qualified as a barrister and solicitor of the New Zealand High Court in 1990. He was a partner at one of New Zealand’s biggest law firms and holds a BA, LLB and MBA and is a Fellow of the Chartered Secretaries New Zealand. Carl was a regular presenter on governance in Australasia over many years, primarily for the New Zealand Institute of Directors. He joined Mourant at the beginning of 2006 where he was the head of the Jersey private equity fund administration business until recently. Carl now heads the Director Services at Mourant International Finance Administration.
