Ian Lambert joined Mourant in October 2003 to head its Jersey fund administration business. A chartered accountant, Ian qualified with Coopers & Lybrand in 1990 and joined Reads Trust Company in 1992 where he became a director in 1998 with responsibility for the institutional fund administration department. Ian is now Chief Executive Officer of Mourant’s International Finance Administration business, responsible for over 600 staff working in all aspects of corporate and fund administration. Ian also sits on the board of directors of a number of large private equity and real estate funds and management companies.

Morgan joined Mourant in May 2009 bringing with him considerable experience in the financial services sector gained both in private equity backed, Plc and partnership environments. Morgan was part of the management buy out team that purchased the Walbrook Group from Deloitte in 2003. Morgan joined Barclays Wealth in May 2007 following the successful sale of Walbrook to that company. Morgan spent much of his early career within the South African and Jersey partnerships of Deloitte.
He has previously achieved significant success in driving through financial and operational change to help maximise the efficiency and profitability of the businesses he has worked for.
Morgan is a Chartered Accountant and is also a Fellow of the Institute of Securities.

Julia trained and qualified as an English solicitor with Simmons & Simmons in the City of London before returning to Jersey in 1991. She qualified as a Jersey solicitor in 1995 and became a partner of Mourant du Feu & Jeune in 1999. She joined Mourant International Finance Administration as an In-House Lawyer and is currently Head of its team of Legal & Risk professionals.

Antonia is responsible for the strategic direction of Mourant’s fund administration and corporate services business and she leads the business development team. She is a specialist in the launch and administration of alternative investment funds and she sits as a director on the board of a number of fund structures. She is a member of a number of industry bodies and is an English qualified solicitor, having practised at Lovells in London from 1996 before joining Mourant in September 2005.

Simon specialises in the launch of new fund and corporate structures globally and also leads a team of specialist fund administrators. He also has extensive experience sitting on the boards of both private and public companies in the UK US, Ireland Luxembourg and Channel Islands Simon holds a degree in valuation, is a chartered surveyor and, prior to joining Mourant in 2006, was a partner in a city firm.

Cengiz Somay heads up the Jersey office. Cengiz has 15 years accounting and finance experience leading corporate start-up, growth and turnaround phases in a number of multinationals and small-medium sized corporations, having previously worked as the controller on the proprietary trading desk at CIBC Wood Gundy and in the audit and assurance division of PwC. Cengiz also holds an MBA and MA from Warwick Business School.

Gary
was chair of the Jersey Funds Association until his term ended in 2007 and is head of Hedge Fund Services at Mourant. Gary was managing director at AIB Fund Administrators when Mourant acquired the business in 2006. A specialist in alternative investment funds, Gary was part of the team of practitioners lobbying for changes to the regulatory regime for funds in the Island. He was rigorously involved in the process which led to the introduction of Jersey’s new Expert Funds Guide in February 2004, and has been supporting the industry’s promotional efforts overseas. Gary is well regarded by finance industry journalists and is a sought-after business media contributor.

Dean joined Mourant in 1998 after completing his law degree. Since joining Mourant, Dean has worked in the international finance administration corporate sector. Having been seconded to Mourant’s London office, Dean returned to Jersey and in 2004 obtained a Masters in Corporate Governance. Shortly after this Dean was appointed Business Manager and his key responsibilities now include the management and administration of SPVs involved in structured finance transactions as well as client relationship management and business development. Most recently Dean has assumed joint responsibility for the development of Mourant’s operations in the Cayman Islands.

Justin joined Mourant in 2003 and has over 20 years experience in financial markets. His background includes stock broking at Collins Stewart, Treasury trading at Royal Bank of Canada and money broking at Guy Butler. He is a director of the investment business Mourant Client Treasury Services Limited (MCTSL) as well as holding several client directorships. He has pioneered many strategic initiatives that include ’Cash2’, the successful cash brokering and diversification service and the more recent bond broking service.
Mourant’s Treasury department is one of the largest in the Channel Islands and has executed over $500 billion annually in foreign exchange, fixed deposits, payments, currency swaps and other derivatives. It is also unique in offering cash management, investment, trust, broking and outsourced Treasury services.
Justin holds and MBA from Manchester Business School and is a Fellow of the Securities and Investment Institute (SII) and is one of only 35 people worldwide to be become a Fellow of the ACI (the financial markets association).
Justin is listed by the Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) as both senior management and an investment employee.
