Mourant Ozannes supports Free to Run's 'Give Clean' Charity Drive
Mourant Ozannes is supporting Women in Finance Asia's 'Give Clean' initiative for charity Free to Run, whose mission is to use sports to empower and educate refugees in Hong Kong. Give Clean is a charity drive to collect toiletries for the several thousand people who have escaped persecution and conflict in their home countries and are now living as refugees in Hong Kong.
Refugees in Hong Kong are not allowed to work or volunteer, so fitness activities provided by the charity are some of the only opportunities they have to re-develop their mental and physical strength. Free to Run operates on the basic principle that the ability to participate in physical fitness is related to important human rights and fundamental freedoms, including the right to health and freedom of movement. In order for the refugees to be able to participate in sports, they need access to basic toiletries.
Our Hong Kong office will act as a drop off point for those who would like to make donations of toiletries, but these can also be collected from your organisation between 1-6 June. If you would like more information on how you can donate or get involved, please contact Danielle Roman.
