Jersey Marathon Relay Race 2017
We are proud to once again be sponsors of the Jersey Marathon Relay Race this year, which is one of three events associated with the Standard Chartered Jersey Marathon.
The course, which starts at the Weighbridge in St Helier, takes runners through some of the Island's most scenic areas of country lanes, picturesque valleys and the beautiful coast of Jersey. Runners finish back at the Marathon Village which is a hive of activity, full of atmosphere with lots of supporters gathered to cheer the runners home.
The Mourant Ozannes Relay Race is made up of teams of five running on the full marathon route with sections varying from 4.8 to 11 kms, with both relay team and marathon runners on the course together. As well as raising funds for chosen charities, it's a great event for runners of all levels and encourages team spirit, camaraderie and a terrific sense of achievement. It's also good for team building with colleagues working together in the lead up to the event, as well as on the day.
The Marathon has become a key fixture in the Island's sporting calendar and a terrific community event which helps to raise money for many good causes, as well as being a great day out for runners and spectators. This year the chosen charity is Jersey Macmillan Cancer Support.
There are a number of different industry cup categories including a Corporate Cup, The Bank Cup, The Law Cup, The Trust Cup, The Accountant Cup and The Hospitality Cup. We hope to encourage as many teams as possible to enter what is a very enjoyable event, with a fantastic atmosphere on the day. You could also pass this email on to your Sports & Social contact for their information as well.
More details on how to enter can be found on the Jersey Marathon website, together with official sponsorship forms here.
We look forward to seeing you on 1 October, and good luck!
