Jeremy Bell-Connell

Overview

I’m an Associate in our Guernsey Litigation practice.

I have experience working on a broad range of commercial and trust disputes across several jurisdictions (New Zealand, UK (London) and Guernsey). I have served a broad range of clients, ranging from individuals and companies to trustees and insolvency practitioners.

In recent years my focus has been on high value, complex offshore trust disputes and other cross border matters. I have been involved in a number of high-profile, cross-border tax and fraud investigations, including the first challenge in Guernsey to a notice issued pursuant to a tax information exchange agreement and the first unexplained wealth order issued by the High Court in England.

Prior to moving to the United Kingdom from New Zealand, I practised a broad range of commercial disputes including breach of contract, debt recovery, professional negligence claims, trustee disputes and corporate and personal insolvency. During this period I would appear regularly in the District Court and High Court of New Zealand, and I have appeared in the Court of Appeal of New Zealand.
