Nicosia Lawson


I am an Associate in our Cayman Islands Litigation & Dispute Resolution team.  I recently completed a two-year secondment to our Hong Kong office.

I work on a range of dispute resolution matters including restructuring and insolvency, financial services disputes, and general commercial disputes, particularly shareholder disputes and winding-up proceedings.  Most recently, I was part of the legal team representing clients in relation to dissenting shareholder appraisal actions brought under the Cayman Islands company merger legislation. 

Prior to joining Mourant Ozannes I was an associate in the dispute resolution team at another offshore law firm in the Cayman Islands.

Professional qualifications

  • Admitted in the Cayman Islands, 2015
  • Two Bachelor of Social Science degrees, one in Political Science and one in Economics from the University of Ottawa, Canada
  • Graduate Diploma in Law at BPP Law School in London
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice
