Adrian Dobbyn

Overview

I am Counsel in the Luxembourg Corporate and Private Equity practice, specialising in private equity, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate restructurings.

I have extensive experience in cross-border transactions. I advise international private equity firms, financial institutions, asset managers and international corporates on all aspects of their operations from investment and setup to exit. I also have experience advising on banking and finance matters.

I joined Mourant Ozannes in 2023, when they joined forces with LexField, which became its Luxembourg office. 

Prior to moving to Luxembourg in 2011, I trained with one of the Big Six law firms in Dublin. Combining a common law approach with civil law experience allows me to better service and understand the needs of international clients interested in using Luxembourg as an investment platform.

• The largest Africa focused private investment firm on a series of transactions.
• A major US private equity real estate firm on their travel and leisure investments in Europe.
• A European specialist mid-market private equity investor on its pan European investments in the health and technology sectors via its Luxembourg platform.
• A commercial property developer in respect of Luxembourg aspects relating to the acquisition, redevelopment, joint venture arrangements and subsequent sale of the One Braham building in the heart of Aldgate in London.
• A European energy services platform (backed by a leading asset management company), being dedicated to offering energy solutions for private and public sector clients, on a series of acquisitions and related financing.
