Celebrating World Oceans Week 2025

As part of the celebrations to mark World Oceans Week 2025, we collaborated with longstanding partner in purpose, Ocean Culture Life (OCL), to host our annual client party and quarterly employee social event in Jersey.

Both events provided a unique opportunity to hear firsthand about the inspiring work OCL is doing and the meaningful impact it's making on a global scale.

The client event followed on from the success of previous years' celebrations, which in 2024 included retired NASA astronaut turned aquanaut, Nicole Stott, and former manager to Apollo 11 astronaut, Buzz Aldrin, Christina Korp, joining us as special guest speakers.

Against the beautiful coastal backdrop of La Saline, L'Etacq, guests heard from OCL storytellers who shared their remarkable and inspiring stories about marine conservation. These included Zandile Ndhlovu, a South African ocean conservationist, social activist, and filmmaker who is the first black female freediving instructor from her country. She is also the founder of The Black Mermaid Foundation. In 2023, Zandile was named on the BBC's '100 Women' list, an annual list of inspiring and influential women from around the world.

We also welcomed Tim Silverwood, an award-winning environmentalist and co-founder of Take 3 for the Sea, which is dedicated to reducing human impact on the ocean and wildlife, and raises funds for innovative ocean impact solutions.

Both events were a perfect celebration of World Oceans Week and reinforced the message on how we can all contribute to the protection of our natural marine environment for future generations.
