Collecting for our communities

As the year draws to a close, teams from across several of our global offices have been proud to support the valuable work of local charities making a positive impact in the areas where we live and work.

From tackling food poverty in London, to helping families in Guernsey, supporting hunger-relief efforts in BVI and the Cayman Islands, and sending fruit hampers to all Jersey care homes, our participation in these initiatives reflects our commitment to supporting our local communities.

Here's a snapshot of how we've contributed this season.

City Harvest Festival 2025

Throughout October, our London office participated in the City Harvest Festival campaign in aid of our London Charity of the Year, City Harvest. City Harvest tackles two big issues: food waste and food poverty. By rescuing food from across the farming and food industry and delivering it, for free, to over 350 community partners – including school programmes, food banks, soup kitchens and refuges – City Harvest supports people unable to afford or access food.

The City Harvest Festival campaign is a major annual food drive in London, which encourages businesses, schools and communities to collect food for those in need, aiming to provide 50,000 extra meals to the city's most vulnerable.

Overall, our London team collected 102 kilograms of food for the 2025 collection, which is the equivalent to 243 meals.

2025 Tinathon

Also in October, our Jersey team donated 200 tins to The Shelter Trust's 2025 Tinathon campaign.

The Shelter Trust is the leading provider of accommodation and support services for the homeless community in Jersey, offering temporary housing, food and assistance for around 125 people per night at its eight sites across the island.

Every donated tin helped The Shelter Trust to prepare meals and contribute to essential food parcels distributed via the charity's Outreach Service to vulnerable individuals in the community.

Guernsey Welfare Christmas Collection

For the second year running, our Mourant Governance Services team in Guernsey contributed to a Christmas collection organised by Guernsey Welfare.

Guernsey Welfare is a Christian charity, launched in 1896, which supports single-parent families, pensioners, people with disabilities or long-term medical conditions, and families on low incomes who may find themselves with unexpected medical or household bills that put them in financial difficulty.

The team purchased a range of items to fill welfare boxes – including cupboard staples, toiletries, children's toys, and essential household items, which Guernsey Welfare will distribute to those in need over this festive period.

Family Support Network

This December, our BVI office clubbed together to participate in an end-of-year food collection in aid of the Family Support Network (FSN).

The FSN was established in 1989 as a volunteer organisation to support families in distress. Today, the FSN operates as a non-profit operation with employed professional staff. Its mission is to provide direct services free of charge to victims of domestic violence in the BVI, their children and those struggling to control their abusive behaviours.

The collection was dropped off to the FSN by members of our BVI Litigation team, who spearheaded the campaign.

Camana Bay Christmas Give

Members of our Cayman office were pleased to participate again in this year's Camana Bay Christmas Give, an annual initiative to give back to those in need during the festive period.

This year, the Christmas Give will benefit Cayman Food Bank, a hunger-relief organisation which supports food distribution, meal delivery, and wellness education.

Cayman Food Bank partners with local non-profits to assist children who need a nutritional foundation to learn and grow, local families struggling to make ends meet, and senior and homebound members of the community who need nutritious meals and services to support health and independence.

Together we were able to contribute more than $200KYD in monetary and non-perishable donations.

Christmas gifts for Jersey care homes

As part of our community outreach efforts this Christmas period, we sent fruit hampers to all care homes in Jersey.

The hampers were delivered in December to approximately 20 care homes on the island.
