Mourant backs Bailiwick Wildlife Photography Exhibition for another year

We are pleased to once again support the Bailiwick Wildlife Photography Exhibition for 2026, hosted by the Guernsey Arts Commission.

Attracting work from more than 90 photographers, the local exhibition is open daily at the Guernsey Museum until 22 March. It aims to shine a spotlight on the creatures that call Guernsey home, and the creatives that capture them in imagery.

As part of the sponsorship, we sponsored a dedicated Sustainability Award, with the winning image being showcased at the exhibition.

Congratulations to our 2026 winner Dan Burgess for his image 'Spiny Crawfish,' a photograph of the rare species palinurus elephas, which was historically over-fished around the Channel Islands and nearly disappeared locally. In positive news, recent survey and dive data shows its resurgence, with more juveniles and adults being seen again in local waters.

Dan was presented with his award by John Lewis at the exhibition launch on Thursday 29 January at the Greenhouse Gallery, Guernsey Museums and Art Galleries, Candie Road.

John Lewis, Managing Partner of our Guernsey office, said:

"We’re excited to be supporting the Bailiwick Wildlife Photography Exhibition for another year. Our sponsorship of the competition's Sustainability Award closely aligns with our firm's commitment to environmental sustainability, and to supporting initiatives that inspire people to protect and celebrate the natural world around us. We are incredibly fortunate that our island and the surrounding areas are teeming with so much wildlife that the exhibition consistently showcases such high-quality work, year after year."

Louise Le Pelley, Partnership Development Executive at Guernsey Arts Commission, added:

"Guernsey Arts is passionate about creating opportunities for local artists and photographers to share their talent. With the generous support of Mourant, the Bailiwick Wildlife Photography Exhibition, now in its fifth year, continues to showcase not only the beauty of our islands’ biodiversity but also the creativity and artistic expression that is present within our arts community. We are so grateful to Mourant for their continued support."
