Mourant Ozannes advises Goodbaby China Holdings on US$360 million sale of baby care products retailer Oasis Dragon

30 September 2017

Leading offshore law firm, Mourant Ozannes, has advised Goodbaby China Holdings Limited on its disposal of Oasis Dragon Limited, the baby-care products retailer, to Goodbaby International Holdings Limited for US$360 million.

Oasis Dragon operates an online sales channel with more than 400,000 daily users, providing customers with maternity and baby-care products, apparel and durable juvenile products. Goodbaby International is known to primarily be involved in designing and manufacturing baby strollers and children’s safety seats for cars, as well as other durable juvenile products.

Lead partner, Paul Christopher, commented:

"This deal reflects the strength of our corporate team's expertise in strategic mergers and acquisitions, and we are pleased to have worked alongside Clifford Chance on yet another successful transaction."

The Mourant Ozannes team included senior associate Jessica Lee and associate Lily Li, alongside a team from international law firm Clifford Chance, led by partner Andrew Whan.

Speaking of the transaction, Andrew Whan said:

"Mainland China's mother, baby and child products market continues to grow and we're seeing these types of transactions become more and more common. It was great to have our team provide advice to Goodbaby China Holdings on a transaction that will see the acquirer expand its offering in the market."

Mr Whan was supported by senior associates Maureen Ho and Alice Tang, and associates Valerie Sun and Mel Chan.
