Mourant acts for Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank on the commercial financing and delivery of the first of nine new Airbus A320neo aircraft

Mourant Hong Kong has acted as Cayman Islands counsel for Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank in connection with the financing and delivery of the first of nine new Airbus A320 NEO aircraft for China Aircraft Leasing Group (CALC) to be leased to Air India. The other aircraft are scheduled to be delivered by stages in 2023 and 2024.
This transaction represents a strategic partnership between CALC and Air India to support the airline’s fleet transformation.
Partner Danielle Roman from the firm's Banking and Finance practice in Hong Kong led the deal for Mourant. Danielle worked with banking and finance specialist Kathy Tang (Associate) on the deal.
The team also worked in close collaboration with lead onshore counsel, Clifford Chance, who acted for the financiers, on the transaction.
