Mourant awarded Deal of the Year by the China Business Law Journal

Mourant, a law firm-led professional services business, has won Deal of the Year in the China Business Law Journal's Deals of the Year award report for 2022.
On the winning deal, Mourant acted as Cayman legal counsel to Prenetics Group Limited, a global leader in genomic and diagnostic testing, as they became the first Hong Kong unicorn to list via a SPAC transaction on Nasdaq with an enterprise value of US$1.25 billion.
The China Business Law Journal's annual Deals of the Year report documents the previous year’s most significant China-related deals and cases.
It attaches the most importance to the overall significance, complexity and innovative nature of the deals and cases, whilst also considering deal size and other broader interests.
The Mourant team was led by Partner Jessica Lee and Hong Kong Managing Partner Paul Christopher, with assistance from Senior Legal Manager Jesslyn Leung.
