Marking the 2026 International Day of Education with donation to Mauritius special needs school

To mark the 2026 International Day of Education, colleagues based in our Mauritius office have donated a range of essential school materials and sports equipment to a local special needs school.

The Association of Disability Service Providers (ADSP) was founded in 2003 as a day care centre with five children with cerebral palsy and learning difficulties. In 2009, ADSP was recognised as a special education needs school. Today, it comprises a multidisciplinary team of specialised teachers, carers, an occupational therapist, a speech and language therapist, an academic program coordinator, a general practitioner, psychologists, school drivers and helpers.

The mission of ADSP is to provide both academic and non-academic education to young adults with special education needs and promote social inclusion in the community.

In the recent initiative, our team collected a wide range of items for the school, including exercise and colouring books, puzzles, pencils, art materials and sports equipment.

The donation reflects our firm's dedication to supporting the local communities in which we're based. Recently, this has included the continuation of our support for the Mourant Girls Academy in Guernsey for a sixth consecutive year. Our continued sponsorship of the football academy closely aligns with our firm's focus on teamwork, development and inclusion, with the funding helping unlock opportunities for Guernsey's young female football players to excel.

In the Cayman Islands, we have also recently announced our partnership with the Cayman Islands Basketball Association as official sponsor of its Inter-Primary School Boys and Girls Basketball Leagues. This partnership will directly support youth development and grassroots sport in the Cayman Islands.
