Two Mourant litigators sworn in as Guernsey Advocates

02 September 2019

Mourant lawyers Heidi Sandy and Benjamin Manchak were sworn in as Advocates of the Royal Court of Guernsey on Monday.

Advocate Sandy and Advocate Manchak, who are members of Mourant's Guernsey litigation and dispute resolution practice, successfully completed their Advocacy exams and were called to the Guernsey Bar at a swearing in ceremony at the Royal Court on Monday 2 September.

Mourant Guernsey Managing Partner, Jessica Roland, said: "Heidi and Ben are both extremely valued members of our team, who bring a wealth of diverse experience and knowledge to their roles. Qualifying as a Guernsey Advocate is a long process that requires a significant time investment, as well as a great deal of hard work and dedication to studying. We're so proud to congratulate Heidi and Ben on this achievement and look forward to continuing to support them through the next stage of their careers."

Advocate Sandy joined Mourant in 2014 and is a Senior Associate specialising in general commercial litigation. She advises on contract and shareholder disputes, banking and finance litigation, professional negligence and insolvency, and is a member of The Women Lawyers Division.

Advocate Manchak has been with the firm since 2015, as an Associate with broad experience in complex, multi-jurisdictional civil/commercial litigation. He is a member of The American Bar Association, The International Bar Association and The Guernsey International Lawyers Association.
