STEP success for Mourant Governance Services Counsel

Jamie Wisbey, General Counsel for Mourant Governance Services, has qualified as a trust and estate practitioner (TEP) upon completion of the STEP Diploma in International Trust Management with distinction, obtaining full membership with STEP.

Jamie, who is a lawyer based in the UK with a global role in Mourant Governance Services, recently qualified as a full member of STEP through the Society's distance learning exam route. This is one of the foremost recognised qualifications in the trust and private client industry and demonstrates a practitioner's level of expertise in this area. To complete the qualification by this route, a practitioner must take four exams, which typically takes around two years. Jamie completed the Diploma in just six months, achieving a distinction in each of his exams.

Jamie said: "Achieving full STEP membership has deepened my knowledge of trust and private client work, further enabling me to provide counsel on a broad range of legal and administrative matters. Mourant Governance Services actively encourages people to grow and excel and has been incredibly supportive, not only in my journey to becoming a TEP, but also in me gaining other qualifications in recent years."

Jamie works in the award winning Mourant Governance Services team, which provides clients with a range of fiduciary, administration and governance services. His main areas of interest include corporate governance, new products and innovation, commercial contracts, data protection, outsourcing and terms of business. He also acts as a director for in-house and client companies.
