As Counsel in our Guernsey Litigation team, I am a highly experienced advocate with a broad-based commercial litigation practice.

A litigator with 20 years of experience, I practiced at Beachcroft (now DAC Beachcroft) as an English Solicitor and as a Guernsey Advocate with Mourant since 2010.

I have a broad-based commercial disputes practice with a particular expertise in regulatory, trust and insurance law including disciplinary and regulatory proceedings for legal and financial professionals, contentious trust, D&O policy coverage disputes and insurance litigation.

Work Highlights

Helmot v Simon – Privy Council appeal relating to discount rates.

Advised on high-value claim to recover unpaid commission fees relating to investment funds.

Acted in judicial review proceedings for an airline challenging a decision of the Transport Licensing Authority.

Advised and appeared in Court in relation to insurance transfer schemes under Guernsey’s equivalent to Part VII of the UK’s Financial Services and Markets Act (FSMA).
