Overview
I’m a Partner of Mourant Law LP in our Jersey Funds team, having joined in 2005.
I specialise in collective investment funds, with a particular focus on private equity, credit and property funds.
I regularly advise fund promoters, investors, boards, regulators and service providers across a variety of asset classes, and have acted for a number of the firm’s key clients in this area.
Work Highlights
Acted as Jersey counsel to CVC Capital Partners on the establishment and launch of CVC Capital Partners IX, an expert fund dedicated to investments in Europe and North America, which closed in July 2023 with a hard cap of €26 billion.
Also advised CVC Capital Partners in relation to CVC Capital Partners Asia VI (CVC’s latest Asian fund which closed at US$6.8 billion in February 2024), CVC Growth Partners II, CVC Strategic Opportunities II, and earlier funds.
Advised general partners, managers and investment managers on their establishment and licensing in Jersey, the expansion or restructuring of existing fund services business licences and offerings and other regulatory matters related to their funds businesses.
