Overview
I’m Knowledge Counsel in our Guernsey Litigation practice. I provide knowledge support to the practice, including horizon scanning, training and thought leadership.
I was admitted as a Solicitor and Notary Public in Scotland in 2013 and became a Guernsey Advocate in 2017, two years after arriving on the island.
I was previously a Senior Associate at Mourant, dealing with a wide range of complex commercial disputes, including contentious trusts, financial services litigation, enforcement action by the Guernsey Financial Services Commission, insolvency and litigation with cross-jurisdictional aspects.
In 2019 I spent eight months on secondment at a multi-jurisdictional fund administrator and corporate services provider in Guernsey, giving me great insight into the industry.
I’ve been a part-time tutor on the Contract Law and Unjustified Enrichment undergraduate course at the University of Edinburgh, and I continue to act as a guest seminar leader on an ad hoc basis.
I have also been a volunteer legal adviser at Citizens Advice, in Edinburgh and Guernsey, since 2012.
I am also Case Summaries Editor, Guernsey for the Jersey & Guernsey Law Review.
