Bursary and Work Experience Schemes

Bursary Scheme

The Bursary Scheme is a gateway for current and future university students to join our award-winning team in Jersey. We offer a yearly bursary to support your academic journey, a minimum of four weeks’ paid work experience annually, and a wealth of online resources. With personal mentorship and expert guidance, you’ll gain invaluable insights into diverse legal practices and work with leading global clients. The scheme offers not just financial support, but also the potential for a long-term career with us post-graduation.

Work Experience Scheme

The Work Experience scheme is ideal for those embarking on the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL), Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC), or Legal Practice Course (LPC) and offers two-weeks paid work experience, you’ll gain a wealth of experience working collaboratively alongside our team of lawyers, gaining in depth knowledge and practical experience with the potential for the next step on to your career in Law.

Jersey Trainee Solicitor Programme
(Applications closed – reopening in October 2026)

The Jersey Trainee Solicitor Programme offers aspiring lawyers the chance to qualify as Solicitors in England and Wales, Jersey, or both jurisdictions, through a two/three-year programme starting this year.

Trainees will gain practical legal experience across various practice groups, supported by mentoring and working on complex, high-profile matters.

The programme includes SQE preparation, exam fees, paid study leave, and qualifying work experience. Applicants need a degree (or are graduating in 2025 or 2026), Jersey residential qualifications, and strong collaboration, communication, and organisational skills.

The application process involves submitting a CV and a short personal statement, followed by assessments and interviews.

Governance Services Summer Scheme

Our Governance Services Summer Scheme is an exceptional opportunity for A-level and university students to gain practical experience in corporate and fiduciary services. This two to four week’s paid internship offers insights into corporate and trust administration, accounting, governance services, and operations.
