Overview

We’re an international professional services firm combining legal, entity management, governance, regulatory and consulting services.

We advise on the laws of the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Guernsey, Jersey and Luxembourg and provide specialist entity management, governance, regulatory and consulting services. We bridge the gap between legal advice and its implementation, taking an integrated approach to deliver the best results for our clients.

We’re a globally-integrated firm with offices across leading international finance centres. Our business is intrinsically linked to the global economy and the capital flows that support it. We serve the needs of our clients in all major time zones, facilitating responsible cross-border finance and investment, the pooling and protection of capital and the resolution of disputes.

Our history

Our history dates back to 1842. Over time, strategic mergers – including with Cayman law firm Quin & Hampson in 2007 – brought together several leading offshore firms. In 2010, Mourant du Feu & Jeune merged with Ozannes, forming the modern Mourant brand with offices in Jersey, Guernsey, the Cayman Islands and London.

We expanded into Asia in 2012 with the opening of our Hong Kong office, followed by the launch of our British Virgin Islands office later that year, marking a greater presence in the Caribbean. In 2022, we acquired a specialist accounting firm in Guernsey and Mauritius. The following year, we opened our office in Singapore, strengthening our reach in Asia and capitalising on Singapore’s role as a global finance centre.

Shortly after, we completed our expansion into Luxembourg, with our governance business receiving its PFS licence in 2024, enabling broader corporate and fund administration services. The same year, we launched Mourant Governance Services Singapore and relocated our London office to a state-of-the-art space in the heart of the City.
