In celebration of World Ocean Day 2023, Mourant in partnership with Ocean Culture Life (OCL), hosted a client event on Thursday 8 June at the newly opened beachside restaurant at La Pulente, St Ouen.

Guests enjoyed locally and sustainably sourced food and drinks against the incredible coastal backdrop of La Pulente.

After dinner, guests heard from ocean storytellers and guardians including Marine Biologist - Madeline St Clair, Wildlife Conservation Biologist and Filmmaker - Kaush Subramaniam, Marine Biologist and Coral Reef Ecologist - Professor David Smith, CEO of Equilibrium Futures - Andrew Mitchell, and Matt Porteous and Tamsin Raine – Co Founders of Ocean Culture Life; who all spoke so passionately about the part we can all play in protecting our planet's most precious resource.

Jonathan Rigby, Mourant Global Managing Partner, said:

"As a global business and a responsible corporate citizen, we know that environmental sustainability is an imperative for our firm, as it is for many of our clients. How we choose to operate impacts future generations and we recognise that we have a role to play in protecting our planet and our people. Protecting the world's ocean is important to us and we continue to uphold our Mourant Ocean Pledge, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to preserving our most precious resource.

"The event was truly inspirational, and we look forward to further collaborating with our clients to promote and protect marine life and continuing to support the important work of organisations dedicated to marine conservation; not just in Jersey but across the globe."
