We are pleased to announce our role as lead sponsor of the 2026 Better Journeys Week initiative, organised by the Channel Islands-based sustainable transport charity, the Better Journeys Project.

Our support will help encourage more islanders to think differently about how they get about, ensuring that Better Journeys Week will be bigger and better than ever in 2026.

Between 18 and 22 May, Better Journeys Week will challenge Channel Islands-based organisations to encourage more sustainable travel options for the week: by closing car parks, encouraging and incentivising cycling and walking, and hopefully forming better travel habits in the process.

In 2025 hundreds of businesses and multiple schools across the Channel Islands asked their people and students to ditch the car and pull their bikes out of the shed, dust down their trainers or hop on the bus. The Better Journeys Project predict that 2026 will see even more islanders get involved and participate in the initiative.

2026 will also see the charity extend its reach to the Isle of Man, with Better Journeys Week being officially launched there for the first time this year.

“We’re proud to support the Better Journeys Project as lead sponsor of this important initiative. Encouraging more sustainable ways of getting around isn’t just good for the environment, but it has a real impact on people’s health and wellbeing. Better Journeys Week brings that to life in a practical, positive way, and we’re delighted to help the charity expand its reach across the Channel Islands and beyond.”

“Taking part in Better Journeys Week is a brilliant opportunity to rethink how we travel to work and get around the island. I’m delighted that our firm is supporting the campaign this year and am confident that members of our Guernsey and Jersey offices will embrace this opportunity to demonstrate what sustainable travel can look like in practice.”

“We started the Better Journeys Project because we realised that if we can change how we travel around, we are better equipped to deal with many of the pressing problems of our time. It sounds dramatic, but take mental health, depression, the diseases of a sedentary lifestyle, the cost of living crisis and climate change as examples: If we choose to walk, cycle, take the bus more often, we will as a society be happier, healthier, wealthier and more sustainable.”
