Eleanor (Nellie) Morgan appointed Co-Head of Global Litigation Practice

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Eleanor (Nellie) Morgan as co-Global Practice Leader for Litigation, alongside current Global Practice Leader, Bruce Lincoln.

Nellie is Managing Partner of the firm’s British Virgin Islands (BVI) office and an experienced litigation partner who has practised in the BVI since 2011.

Described in the latest Chambers and Partners High Net Worth Guide as “one of the most dynamic partners on the island,” and “the BVI advocate you want on your side,” Nellie has built a highly regarded Litigation team in the BVI, and has been instrumental in the success and development of the practice, both locally and more widely.

Working together, Nellie and Bruce will provide strategic leadership to Mourant’s global Litigation practice, bringing complementary perspectives and extensive experience across key jurisdictions.

Nellie has built an outstanding reputation as a lawyer and leader within our firm, and I would like to congratulate her on this well-deserved appointment. Working alongside Bruce, whose leadership has been instrumental in establishing our firm as a leader in our key markets, Eleanor will bring valuable insight, energy and perspective to the role. This latest appointment follows the announcement in August 2026 that Mourant secured a minority equity investment by MML, a specialist provider of partnership capital. The investment will support Mourant’s continued focus on delivering exceptional client service and will include further investment in technology, and in its people, through enhanced career pathways and the development of next generation talent.

It will also support measured geographic expansion across the world’s leading International Financial Centres, including through carefully selected M&A opportunities, strategic law firm partnerships and lateral hires.
