Mourant advises Wavemaker Partners on Southeast Asia venture capital fund

Mourant advised Wavemaker Partners on the launch of Wavemaker Pacific 5, L.P., a venture capital fund focused on early-stage investments in the Southeast Asia region, which was backed by a number of global institutional investors. The fund aims to invest in enterprise, deep tech, and sustainability focused companies primarily in Southeast Asia.

Hong Kong Corporate and Funds Partner, James Broad, assisted by Hong Kong Associate, Libby Chau, provided Cayman Islands legal support, advising on the launch and registration of the fund.

Entity formation services and regulatory support was also provided by Mourant Governance Services, with services delivered across the firm’s Hong Kong and Cayman Islands offices.
