Overview

Overview

I’m Partner in our Cayman Litigation practice.

I advise a wide range of clients in relation to high value cross-border commercial disputes including contentious trust disputes, disputes involving allegations of fraud or misconduct and insolvency and restructuring matters.

My clients include court-appointed officeholders, trustees and beneficiaries, creditors, shareholders and other financial professionals.

My publications include Privy Council Clarifies the Scope of the Just and Equitable Winding Up Jurisdiction in Aquapoint LP – INSOL World, Q1 2026, Unwinding Trusts – STEP Journal, 2026 Issue 2, The Cayman Firewall Provisions: Exclusive Jurisdiction or Merely Choice of Law? – Private Client Business, 2021 Number 4, The Solid Energy decision and debt for equity swaps in New Zealand – International Corporate Rescue Journal, 2015, and New Zealand’s good faith defence to voidable transactions: shift in focus to creditor’s state of mind – International Corporate Rescue Journal, 2014.

Prior to joining Mourant, I worked in the Litigation group of Russell McVeagh, a top-tier firm in New Zealand.

Jessica’s responsiveness and client service is second to none, and she has a great understanding of Cayman trusts law and court proceedings. One to watch for the future for sure.
