Laura Robertson
Governance Services
Overview
Overview
I am the global General Counsel for Mourant Governance Services, where I lead the in house legal team supporting the business across the firm’s jurisdictions. In this role, I work closely with senior leadership to manage legal and regulatory risk, support effective governance frameworks and provide strategic legal advice aligned with the firm’s commercial objectives.
Prior to becoming General Counsel, I was a Counsel in Mourant’s Finance and Corporate practice in Jersey, where I advised on a broad range of cross border transactions with a particular specialism in private equity transactions in the financial services sector. My experience includes mergers and acquisitions, financings, corporate restructurings, general corporate advisory work and financial services matters.
Before joining Mourant, I worked as a Managing Associate at Addleshaw Goddard in London, having trained at Blake Morgan. I have also completed secondments to a number of multinational technology companies and banks, including Barclays, IBM and Deutsche Bank, giving me valuable in house and commercial experience.
