Guernsey SQE Trainee Programme

Are you looking to start a career in law and qualify as a Solicitor in England and Wales?

We are looking for aspiring lawyers to join our Guernsey SQE Trainee Programme to qualify as a Solicitor, starting in September 2024.

Trainees will study for the Solicitors Qualifying Exams, whilst obtaining the required two years' work experience in different practice areas of the firm. You will have access to complex and challenging work, supported by our experienced and top-rated legal teams.

The two-year fixed term contract offers a competitive total reward package, including SQE preparation course costs, exam fees and exam/study leave. There will be an opportunity to apply for a permanent role as an Associate upon qualification and admission as a Solicitor.

About you – essential requirements

You will need:

• a degree or graduating in 2024  (and ideally tracking towards a 2:1 or higher) - non-law graduates welcome
• excellent organisation, attention to detail and communication and presentation skills
• the ability to work under pressure, often within tight deadlines
• a proactive, flexible and agile approach to work
