Mourant shortlisted for General Counsel of the Year at British Legal awards

We are pleased to announce that Laura Robertson, General Counsel for Mourant Governance Services, has been shortlisted for General Counsel of the Year at the British Legal Awards 2026.

Laura is General Counsel (GC) for Mourant Governance Services, part of Mourant’s integrated platform combining legal, entity management, governance, regulatory and consulting services across nine global locations.

Mourant Governance Services supports entities and funds globally by providing end to end assistance through formation, administration, investor services, and accounting link seamlessly with corporate administration, company secretarial, and fiduciary roles.

As a member of the executive leadership team for Mourant Governance Services, Laura advises on legal and regulatory risk, provides proactive commercial counsel and helps the business navigate complex risk-reward decisions.

The shortlisting recognises Laura’s strategic legal leadership and contribution to Mourant Governance Services’ continued growth.

Over the past year, Laura has helped to facilitate the legal work relating to the landmark minority investment by MML which will bolster investment capacity for Mourant’s integrated professional services platform.

As part of the team supporting the legal workstream, Laura helped to identify, assess and manage legal, regulatory and execution risks across Mourant’s global jurisdictions, enabling the business to move at pace.

More widely, Laura has continued to act as a trusted strategic partner to Mourant Governance Services, providing commercially focused advice, anticipating and managing legal and regulatory risk, and helping its senior leaders navigate complex decisions.

The British Legal Awards celebrate achievement across the legal sector. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony later this year.
