We are pleased to announce Helen Wyatt as Managing Partner of our Guernsey office with effect from 1 August 2026.
Helen will succeed John Lewis who has held the role since in September 2020 and will step down as his term in the role comes to end. John will continue as a Partner with us.
Having first joined Mourant on a work experience placement before returning as a trainee in the legal practice, Helen has built her career at the firm over the last two decades, including a period in the Mourant London office.
She subsequently returned to Guernsey, where she became a Partner in the Corporate team in 2016 and has established herself as a trusted adviser to clients across a broad range of complex transactions.
Ranked as a ‘Leading Partner’ in Legal 500, Helen’s work spans a wide range of corporate matters, including M&A, capital raisings and IPOs, investment structures, financings and wider corporate transactions, with a particular focus on financial regulation.
I am delighted to accept the role of Guernsey Managing Partner and thank John for his sterling work and many achievements during his term. Our Guernsey practice continues to go from strength to strength as we add capabilities and experience, while also encouraging and nurturing new talent.
Guernsey continues to develop and innovate as a jurisdiction backed by a comprehensive professional service ecosystem and I look forward to embracing this exciting new challenge to drive the business forward.
John has provided trusted and valued leadership for a considerable period and we want to sincerely thank him for everything he has done.
Helen’s appointment is a powerful example of our firm’s commitment to nurturing talent and developing future leaders from within the business. She is a highly capable lawyer and excellent mentor, and we are excited to see her develop as she takes on this responsibility to lead the office into its next chapter.
