We are proud to have been shortlisted for Most Innovative Law Firm Strategy at the Leadership in Law Awards 2026.
The Leadership in Law Awards recognise individuals and teams across the legal profession shaping the future of law through outstanding leadership, innovative thinking and high-impact work.
With a history dating back nearly 80 years, Mourant has grown from its law firm roots into an international professional services group. Today, it provides legal, corporate, entity management and fund administration services to many of the world’s leading private capital firms, banks, institutional investors and global corporations.
With around 1,000 people across nine leading International Finance Centres, Mourant has moved beyond the traditional law firm mould, building an integrated, multi-service model that brings together specialist teams to meet clients’ needs across its services and locations.
“We are delighted that Mourant’s distinctive strategy and our ambition for the future have been recognised by the Leadership in Law Awards. We have built an integrated, multi-service model that enables us to bring together the right expertise across services and locations to meet the increasingly complex needs of our clients. Our partnership with MML reflects a shared conviction in that model and gives us greater capability and momentum to support its long-term growth. This recognition is testament to the commitment of our people and what we are building together.”
The shortlisting recognises Mourant’s bold, forward-thinking strategy to build a distinctive and enduring professional services platform: evolving its business model, investing in new ways of working and executing its integrated strategy with clear leadership alignment. This approach has differentiated Mourant’s market position, supported sustainable growth and strengthened the outcomes it delivers for clients.
MML Capital’s landmark minority equity investment in Mourant in 2026, alongside investment from Mourant’s existing owner-managers, reflected confidence in the group’s strategy. Mourant selected MML for its strategic and cultural fit and its shared belief in the group’s integrated services platform, the opportunity ahead and the team behind it.
The investment provides Mourant with greater capacity to support its long-term growth and invest further in its people, chosen markets, technology, data and AI-enabled systems, while continuing to deliver exceptional outcomes for clients.
