Mourant to support The Intertidal showcasing Jersey’s unique coastline

We have confirmed our corporate sponsorship of The Intertidal, a pioneering new running event in Jersey with a route that covers areas of the island usually covered by tides.

Taking place on Saturday 15 August 2026, The Intertidal offers runners a unique endurance experience, with the approximately 16-mile route set almost entirely within Jersey’s intertidal zone.

Unlike traditional races, The Intertidal requires participants to make their own strategic route choices between checkpoints as conditions evolve throughout the event.

The route will begin at the slipway next to Rhona’s Café in Gorey and finish at the Royal Channel Islands Yacht Club, passing six notable coastal landmarks: Seymour Tower, Icho Tower, Green Island, Havre des Pas, Elizabeth Castle and St Aubin’s Fort.

The Intertidal is expected to attract increasing numbers of off-island participants, further enhancing Jersey’s reputation as a destination for innovative sporting and endurance events.
