Jonathan Rigby

Global Managing Partner

Overview

I’m currently Global Managing Partner, having been elected in 2008, 2012, 2016 and re-elected in 2020. In this role, I chair the Management Committee and am responsible for implementing the firm's strategy.

I joined Mourant Ozannes in 1998 and was admitted as a Partner in 2003. Between 2003 and 2006, I was Head of the London office and led it through a period of significant growth to become one of the largest offshore practices in the City.

My experience includes leading the firm through the largest merger of offshore law firms, opening new offices in the Caribbean and Asia, and establishing complementary businesses and services lines.

I also have extensive experience advising financial institutions, corporates and intermediaries on capital markets, structured finance and investment fund transactions.

Prior to joining Mourant Ozannes, I was a banking lawyer at CMS Cameron McKenna in London.
