Mourant completes Luxembourg rebranding and announces new banking and finance partner

Mourant expanded into Luxembourg last year, with the law firm, previously known as LexField, and governance services business, previously known as FideField, joining the Mourant global network.

This development has enabled Mourant to provide clients with legal, corporate and entity management services from Luxembourg, one of the world’s leading international finance centres and the second largest global funds centre.

In a sign of things to come, Mourant has promoted the head of the Luxembourg office’s Banking and Finance practice, Saniyé Tipirdamaz, to partner.

Saniyé joined the firm in 2022 and has extensive experience advising international financial institutions, groups of companies and investment funds on cross-border financings. She advises clients on all types of financial transactions, with a special focus on fund finance, acquisition finance and real estate finance, as well as restructuring and insolvency matters.

In October 2023, Mourant announced the opening of a new office in Singapore, led by former Maples funds and corporate partner, Craig Luton. The firm has plans to develop and grow the Singapore team with the addition of banking and finance and litigation specialists, and a governance services offering.
