Double awards success for Asia team

Our Asia legal team has been recognised with awards at two of the region’s leading legal industry events, reflecting the strength of our work on complex, cross-border transactions.

At Law.com’s Asia Legal Awards 2026 in Singapore on Thursday 10 September, we won Private Equity Deal of the Year for the Stonepeak – Princeton Digital Group investment.

On this deal, we advised the lenders on British Virgin Islands and Cayman Islands law for Stonepeak’s US$1.3 billion preferred equity investment in Princeton Digital Group.

At the ALB Hong Kong Law Awards 2026, which took place in Hong Kong the following evening, we won Finance Deal of the Year for the New World Development Refinancing (which also involved leading law firms including A&O Shearman).

This historic transaction involved the HK$88 billion (US$11.3 billion) refinancing and alignment of certain New World Development Company Limited’s existing financial indebtedness. It was the largest refinancing of its kind to have taken place at the time in the Hong Kong market, and the sheer scale, complexity and speed of the transaction set a new industry benchmark.

Separately, we were delighted to see longstanding client and one of our guests at the ALB Hong Kong Law Awards ceremony, Hsiang Low of Riverchain, win the Young Lawyer of the Year (In-House) category.
