We are delight to appoint Xia Li as a partner in our Asia Litigation team, further strengthening our bench on complex, cross-border disputes.

Her appointment comes amid increasing demand for coordinated litigation strategies spanning Asia and offshore jurisdictions, particularly in PRC-related matters.

Xia brings more than seven years’ experience at leading offshore firms, including in the Cayman and British Virgin Islands. She trained at Allen & Overy and has worked across London, Beijing and Singapore, and has also practised at leading US firms in Hong Kong and New York. Fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and English, she adds strong cross border experience and valuable PRC connectivity to our Asia disputes practice.

Xia’s appointment reflects Mourant’s continued strategic investment and long-term growth ambitions in Asia and enhances the firm’s ability to advise clients on increasingly complex, multi-jurisdictional and PRC related disputes and restructuring matters.

I am delighted to be joining Mourant’s Asia team at such an exciting time for the practice. The firm has a strong reputation for handling complex offshore and cross border matters, and I look forward to working with colleagues across the business to support clients on their most significant disputes and restructuring matters.

Xia’s appointment strengthens the depth and connectivity of our Asia litigation team. Her combination of offshore expertise and strong PRC alignment is exactly what distinguishes our offering and supports the increasingly complex needs of our clients.
